The UNC Fed Challenge club’s internal spring competition will be held the week of April 18th.
Teams will analyze economic and financial conditions, formulating a monetary policy recommendation to be given as a 15 minute presentation in front of a panel of judges. Following this, there will be a 15 minute Q&A session in which teams will answer questions from the judges about their recommendation, macroeconomic theory, and monetary policy.
- Increase macroeconomic and monetary policy knowledge
- Get hands on experience with finding and interpreting economic data/research
- Improve public speaking and project building skills
- Prepare for the fall competition
To help teams prepare for the competition, Fall 2021 Presentation Team members will be serving as coaches in team meetings. Additionally, there will be four training sessions throughout the semester, as well as three checkpoints, wherein teams will receive feedback on their presentation progress.
Unless otherwise noted, all training sessions, check points, and drop-in hours will be held Monday nights, at 6pm, via Zoom.
